About the role

About the role

The role is responsible for the scheduling, oversight, sales and delivery of Governance Institute’s signature Effective Director Courses across Australia, ensuring a professional and quality customer experience is achieved.

This is a part time role (3 days per week) and the successful candidate will be engaged on a 12 month fixed- term contract.

Key responsibilities

Course Logistics:

  • Organise and deliver logistics for all locally held or virtual Effective Director Courses both public and inhouse, including
    • Sourcing venues;
    • Organising catering and AV requirements;
    • Managing student communication, materials and other documentation
    • Liaising with clients and facilitators
    • Collation of participant feedback for review by stakeholders.
  • Manage on-site Effective Director Course in person or remotely.
  • Manage and deliver in-house course deliveries from point of sale through to completion.
  • Extensive CRM management.
  • Work with stakeholders including State Managers, Facilitators, and other GIA departments to ensure all training courses are delivered to an exceptional customer service standard.
  • Facilitator management – foster and maintain relationships with Facilitators, schedule and prepare facilitators to deliver appropriate courses, coach and train where performance is below benchmark. Coordinate facilitator meetings and training sessions.

Sales:

  • Identify and develop sales strategies to grow profile and revenue in the Effective Director Course.
  • Measure and track sales performance.
  • Respond to prospective student enquiries.
  • Negotiate and execute strategic alliance partnership relationships.

Financial Management, Reporting and Administration:

  • Oversee, maintain records and provide regular reporting on Effective Director Course KPIs
  • Financial administration of the Effective Director Courses including budgeting and expense management

The successful candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years demonstrated experience working in sales and/or business development
  • 5+ years demonstrated experience working in event management. Preferably with experience in overseeing an annual calendar of training/event activities including financial oversight of revenue and expenses of that calendar
  • Strong stakeholder management skills including experience in working with senior stakeholders
  • Strong communication, forward planning and project management skills
  • Ability to make sound decisions within your sphere of responsibility and take responsibility for delivering courses and sales calls to plan and on time.
  • Experience working in an education, training, consulting or membership association is preferred
  • Proficient experience in CRM management including customer management, event management and invoicing.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on providing an outstanding experience for every customer.
  • Confident in public speaking and liaising with multiple stakeholders at varying levels.
  • Excellent communication, planning, organization and Project Management skills
  • Experience building budgets and overseeing financial administration
